Minority / Women Business Enterprise Loan Program (MBE or WBE)

Both the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Loan Program and the Women Business Enterprise (WBE) Loan Program provide loans to socially and economically disadvantaged minority and/or women-owned businesses as designated by the Mississippi Development Authority’s Minority and Small Business Development Division. Loans are made for the following: land and buildings, working capital, machinery and equipment.

Minority / Women Business Micro Loan Program

The Minority / Women Business Micro Loan Program provides loans to socially and economically disadvantaged minority and/or women-owned businesses as designated by the Mississippi Development Authority’s Minority and Small Business Development Division. The maximum loan amount is $35,000. Loans are made for the following: inventory purchase, working capital, machinery and equipment.

Small Business Loan Guaranty Program

The Small Business Loan Guaranty Program (SBLGP) provides access to capital for small businesses by providing loan guaranties to banks and other small business lenders. The SBLGP encourages lenders to make term loans or provide lines of credit to new or existing small businesses in a difficult credit environment to help with the development, expansion and retention of Mississippi’s small businesses. Loan guaranties are made for the following: building acquisition, renovation or expansion, machinery and equipment acquisition, and working capital.
