The Natchez Pet Mayor Election is open to all cats, dogs, and other pets whose owners live in Natchez or nearby areas.

Natchez Pet Mayor Duties and Responsibilities

The Natchez Pet Mayor and other elected pet officials will serve as goodwill ambassadors for our community and make occasional public appearances, especially at events promoting small and locally owned businesses.

How It Works

  • The Natchez Pet Mayor Election is open to all cats, dogs, and other pets whose owners live in Natchez or nearby areas.
  • To register your pet, complete the Registration Form and pay the $25 entry fee online.
  • Businesses may partner with local pet owners as a Campaign Headquarters.
  • Two Ways To Vote:
    • Vote online here from April 1 through April 26, 2025 for $5 per vote.
    • Vote at the candidate’s Campaign Headquarters. Voting is unlimited.

Campaign Headquarters Kit

$200 Package includes the following:

 

  • Two campaign yard signs with QR code leading to the voting page
  • On-location Facebook Live with Natchez DNA featuring the business and candidate
  • Social Media tagging in boosted posts
  • Red, white, and blue balloons
  • Collection jar for cash votes

Ideal Qualities of a Pet Mayor

Our ideal Pet Mayor will…

  • Be a respectable and beloved member of the Natchez pet community.
  • Represent all pets equally, regardless of breed, species, or known tricks.
  • Advocate fiercely for small businesses and community events.
  • Be agreeable to having their photo taken and shared by the Downtown Natchez Alliance.
  • Have a good temperament (and so should their human spokesperson!)
  • Maintain high ethical standards and not succumb to bribery… even in the form of tasty treats!

A major fundraiser for the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society featuring live music, silent auctions, a cornhole tournament, and games for the kiddos!

Now in it’s third year, this Car Show features Rolls-Royce and Bentley Cars, British and European Cars 20 years or older, Exotic Cars and all CCCA eligible cars.
